The Faith Formation program works with children from preschool through grade 12 to provide instruction in the Catholic faith, as well as adult programming for those who would like to learn more about the Catholic faith. Adult programming includes the RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults), and discussion groups about various aspects of the Catholic faith in the Understanding Catholicism program. For children aged 4-12, we offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This is a Montessori-based approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in Sacred Scripture, Litrurgy and respect for the child's rich relationship with God. The catechists who work with the children have participated in a minimum of 100 hours of formation and have prepared a special environment for the children, which is called the Atrium. The Level 1 Artrium is for ages 4-6, Level 2 is for ages 7-9, and Level 3 for ages 10-12. For more information, please watch the short video.
Several people have requested preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Anyone interested in receiving Confirmation is invited to be in touch with Fr. Kerper for more information and to settle on a day and time to get together. He will also accommodate people who started preparation in the past but never finished for various reasons. Please call 882-2262 for more information.
Catechesis on the First Sunday of the month will have classes for Adults, Teens, and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children aged 3-12.
